The large [[:wikitox:enterohepatic_circulation|enterohepatic circulation]] of ethinyloestradiol makes pregnancy after an overdose where [[:wikitox:3.2.2.2.3_activated_charcoal|activated charcoal]] (especially [[:wikitox:3.2.2.2.3.1_repeated_doses_of_activated_charcoal|repeat dose]]) has been given a real risk. Doctors should familiarise themselves with the 7 day rule and advise their patients accordingly.
